Decoy Carving & Painting Classes
Looking for a fun activity in the off season? Interested in taking your duck hunting hobby to the next level? Consider joining us for a decoy carving and painting class.
Cutting out decoy heads
We are planning to offer a limited number of classes from May through August. Each class will include no more than 4 students and will run from 4 to 6 days. With the small class size, each student will be allowed to work on the project of his own choosing and I will be able to give everyone the individual help they need. If painting is your problem area, bring some birds and just work on that. We want you to enjoy yourself, relax, and hopefully learn some things that will make you a better carver. Beginners should not be intimidated. I'll show you my first bird and if you can't do as well or better I promise to refund your money. We may be able to do some salt water fishing on the bay or tour the barrier islands if the class wishes.
The cost will be $200 per day for each student and includes meals and lodging at Holden Creek Gun Club. If you are interested in forming a class with some of your friends, please call or email us about details and dates.
